The P.I. Calendar

Okay, okay, I know. This page is occasionally out-of-date, but we’re doing much much better than we used to. If you’ve got a relevant event — a convention, a fan event, a Noir-at-the-Bar, a mystery-writing course or something — coming up, tell me… Or at least put me on your mailing list, if you’re organized enough to have one. If your event is not listed here, it might not be my fault.

Sorry, authors, I’m not looking for individual book signings, though — that way would lead to madness.

NOTE: Due the ongoing concerns over the spread of the COVID-19 virus, many events have been cancelled or postponed. I’ll relay what I know. A lot of organizers are stalling, however, hoping to proceed as planned, but I think they’re mostly kidding themselves–or stalling for time, waiting for a miracle. Before you book rooms, rent cars, book flights or anything, it’s best to check directly with the event’s organizers for any updates. (Now if only they’d update their fucking web sites!)

I’m also trying to list as many virtual events as possible, but if you don’t tell me, I can’t pass it on.

2021

• NoirCon/Retreat to Goodisville Watch Party

  The annual NoirCon, Philiadelphia’s annual GoodisFest, ain’t happenin’ (or at least as we know it), but they’ve teamed up with The Projection Booth Podcast to host a virtual edition. On March 5, The Projection Booth will devote their weekly watch party series to David Goodis adaptations, screening Section des disparus (based on Of Missing Persons),  The Burglars (based on The Burglar), and Samuel Fuller’s Street of No Return (based on the novel of the same name), plus a couple of other goodies.memories.
